Series 55N U-Joint Cross

The Series 55N U-Joint Cross is a specific type of universal joint (U-joint) commonly used in heavy-duty applications, including agricultural machinery, construction equipment, and some industrial vehicles. The Series 55N U-joint is designed for durability and high torque transmission in demanding environments.

Key Features of the Series 55N U-Joint Cross:

1. Size and Dimensions:
   • Cap Diameter: The caps typically have a diameter of around 1.535 inches (39 mm), making it suitable for heavy-duty driveline applications.
   • Cross Width: The width of the cross (measured between opposite cap centers) typically ranges around 4.33 inches (110 mm), though it can vary depending on the manufacturer or specific application.
2. Application:
   • The Series 55N U-joint is used in driveline systems for a wide variety of applications such as:
     • Agricultural equipment (tractors, harvesters, etc.)
     • Construction machinery (excavators, backhoes, etc.)
     • Industrial equipment requiring robust driveline solutions.
   • It’s designed to transfer torque from the driveshaft to various components, such as axles or differentials, ensuring reliable performance even in high-stress, high-torque environments.
3. Material:
   • U-joints in the Series 55N category are made of high-strength steel or forged steel, providing durability and resistance to wear, corrosion, and other environmental factors.
   • The use of quality materials ensures that the U-joint can handle the intense forces often found in heavy-duty machinery applications.
4. Durability and Performance:
   • The Series 55N U-joint is built for heavy-duty performance and is designed to operate under harsh conditions. It can withstand high torque, shock loads, and environmental stresses typical in industrial and agricultural applications.
   • Grease fittings are typically included for easy maintenance, helping to extend the service life of the U-joint by ensuring proper lubrication and reducing friction.
